Regional Tours

In Term 4, Life Saving Victoria will be conducting SINK OR SWIM tours of regional Victorian communities that are targeted as ‘at-risk’ for child drowning incidents. Understanding the need to educate students prior to the summer holidays, SINK OR SWIM is offered free of charge to eligible schools in Term 4, before the peak season.

The regional program aims to enhance the student’s knowledge and understanding of a range of aquatic environments but in particular; beaches, rivers, lakes, dams and creeks. SINK OR SWIM focuses on the student’s relationship with water, while enhancing their capacity to make safer choices in aquatic environments, thereby preventing dangerous situations, accidents and drowning.

The SINK OR SWIM program is 1-hour in length, involves a classroom visit from a lifesaver and includes many practical activities to get your students moving. Ensure your students are aware and prepare them for summer by registering for SINK OR SWIM regional in Term 4!

Cost

The SINK OR SWIM regional sessions are provided FREE of charge to eligible primary and secondary schools from regional Victorian communities that are targeted as ‘at-risk’ for child drowing incidents through support from the Play it Safe by the Water campaign.
