About Life Saving Victoria
Our mission is to prevent aquatic related death and injury. Our vision is that all communities will learn water safety, swimming and resuscitation, and be provided with safe beaches, water environments and aquatic venues.
We employ more than 300 staff and our lifesaving clubs have more than 31,000 members – all of us working towards our mission and vision.
We work with communities, educational institutions, governments, businesses and the broader aquatic industry.

Summer Season Patrol Statistics (from 1st December)
There were 10 reported fatal drowning incidents from 1 July 2018 to 29 November 2018.
This is 2 more than the 5-year average from 1 July 2013 to 29 November 2017.
There were 20 reported non-fatal drowning incidents from 1 July 2018 to 29 November 2018.
This is 4 less than the 5-year average from 1 July 2013 to 29 November 2017.
