LSV have developed several tools to assist members in the gear inspection process and to enable them to conduct gear inspections online on their smartphones and iPads. The ability to conduct gear inspections and audits electronically helps reduce the administrative burden on volunteers. The application is able to provide realtime operational status of all equipment across the state allowing for more time to be focused on other aspects of life saving and improving service delivery.
LSV Gear Inspection App
LSV’s Gear Inspection app for iPad can be accessed through the Club’s login to LSV’s Gear & Equipment Database here
Using the app enables Life Saving Clubs to inspect their equipment on a mobile device and then upload the information where is is compiled and stored. State Officers can also conduct their audits and review the clubs initial inspection information using the application.
LSV Gear & Equipment Database
LSV Clubs can access and manage their Club’s equipment information through LSV’s Gear & Equipment Database, available here
The Gear & Equipment database is linked directly with the app so updated inspection information is uploaded from the app straight to the database at the tap of a button. Club’s can also run report’s on their equipment information and view a summary of exactly what status their lifesaving equipment is at.
For further information on how your club can use the online gear inspection application contact Lifesaving Operations.
