Aquatic, Fitness and Recreation (AFAR) – Professional Development Series
During the COVID-19 Stage 3 Restrictions (Round 1), Life Saving Victoria took the decision to partner with various industry organisations to deliver free professional development webinars four times per week to industry personnel.
The webinars were broken down into four service-area streams. You can view recordings of these webinars at the service-area headings below. The fitness stream was coordinated by Fitness Australia. Life Saving Victoria would like to acknowledge and thank Fitness Australia for their partnership and spirit of collaboration over this difficult period.
AFAR AHEAD (July 2020 Onwards)
Following the success of the AFAR PD series during Lockdown 1.0, LSV has taken the decision to continue providing FREE PD to industry personnel once per month.
These sessions will be held on the 2nd week of every month – starting 12th August 2020.
The session will be divided into three themes:
- 10:00-10:30am – Safety & Operations
- 10:30-11:00am – Swimming and Water Safety Education
- 11:00-11:30am – Leadership
