PD Workshops And Webinars

Life Saving Victoria run various professional development (PD) opportunities for schools and the aquatic industry. PD opportunities include: workshop, teacher training sessions, theory and scenario based activities. We also have a brand new pod cast series which people can listen to at any time that suits them to keep up to date with the latest schools swimming information.

Life Saving Victoria have recently developed the Life Saving Victoria Pod Channel. Each week, LSV share weekly podcast episodes to provide listeners with key information about swimming and water safety, relevant lifesaving updates, as well as resources and ideas for schools and aquatic facilities. This podcast supports educators and swim instructors to learn about programs that LSV offer to schools and communities, how instructors and educators can develop the best quality programs, and key information about regulations and laws.

Dry Swimming and Water Safety Workshop

Life Saving Victoria invite primary school teachers to learn engaging methods to teach swimming and water safety using equipment tucked away in your gym or classroom, as well as fun technology and online programs. This FREE hands-on session will focus on how to assess the Water Safety Knowledge component of the Victorian Water Safety Certificate (VWSC) in your classroom or gymnasium, while also meeting Victorian Curriculum requirements.

You will also receive a FREE goodie bag to take home filled with handy classroom resources for your swimming and water safety program!

AFAR Professional Development Series

Join us each quarter in 2021 to stay connected, engaged and informed through our free AFAR series (hosted face-to-face AND virtually!)
