Building on the success of 2019 Innovation Challenge, conducted as part of the inaugural Youth Symposium, in 2020 we will again be conducting an Innovation Challenge. This year’s challenge, will take the innovation a step further and will be delivered online, meaning teams will collaborate, develop and pitch their idea utilising online platforms.
The Online Innovation Challenge will provide youth members with a fun and unique way to stay connected with fellow members, whilst providing them with an opportunity to develop and create an original and innovative idea, with the aim to change the game of lifesaving. Teams will be asked to be creative in presenting their innovation concept, which could be in the form of a brochure, video, storybook, shared google doc, infographic or online presentation.
Teams will be asked to come up with an innovation under one of the following topics;
1. PROGRAMS, SKILLS & PATHWAYS
2. MEMBER WELLBEING
Further information, instructions and marking criteria will be released once the challenge teams have registered.
The Innovation Challenge promises will be fun and interactive, with bonus points up for grabs, information and photo sharing along the way, making the experience for your youth members enjoyable, interesting and unique.
The winning team will received a prize and will also have the opportunity to pitch their idea/concept to the relevant Council executive and to be supported and launched through LSV.
