Life Saving Victoria Launches Strategic Vision for 2030 and Celebrates Year of Impact

03 December 2025

Life Saving Victoria (LSV) has today unveiled its LSV 2030 Strategic Plan and released the 2024/25 Annual Report, marking a major milestone in the organisation’s mission to prevent drowning and promote water safety across Victoria.

The launch follows LSV’s Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 22 November, where members, staff, volunteers and stakeholders came together to reflect on the year’s achievements and look ahead to a bold new chapter.

The 2024/25 Annual Report highlights the significant impact of LSV’s work across lifesaving services, education programs, volunteer development and community outreach. From the beach to the classroom, the report showcases the collective efforts of more than 45,000 members and partners.

At the heart of the new LSV 2030 Strategic Plan is a powerful vision:

Together preventing drowning. Together thriving around water.

The plan outlines six key goals—three strategic and three enabling—each supported by clear initiatives and actions to strengthen community impact, member experience and water safety outcomes.

“As we look to 2026 and beyond, LSV is committed to deepening collaboration with our partners through cross-functional working groups that ensure accountability, innovation, and shared success,” said Catherine Greaves, Chief Executive Officer

LSV thanks all those who contributed to the development of the plan and encourages members of the public to explore the documents below:
