Frequently asked questions

You have questions, we have the answer

Are there minimum requirements for a booking?

  • A duty of care for our staff, it is LSV policy that we provide a minimum of two Lifeguards at any event. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all involved.
  • We also have a minimum of three hours per booking

Do you charge travel time?

  • For any booking, the first 30 minutes of travel time is free of charge. Beyond that however, there is a cost.
  • We operate with three warehouse locations across the state where lifeguards start their shifts to collect rescue and first aid equipment before travelling to your event location.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes, there is. Due to the demand for services run by LSV’s Event Services team, a strict cancellation policy applies:

  • Within 10 working days of event date for any reason - 50% of total cost
  • Within 5 working days of event date for any reason - 75% of total cost
  • Within 3 working days of event date for any reason - 100% of total cost

How far in advance do I need to make a booking?

  • We request as much notice as possible to source Event Lifeguards for your event.
  • At a minimum you should submit the request no later than seven business days prior to the event. If we receive a request less than seven business days prior, we may be unable to fulfill the request.

Can you guarantee availability of lifeguards and equipment?

  • Whilst we will always do everything possible to fulfil your request, due to the demands of our lifeguards, especially during peak periods such as January, we cannot guarantee availability. Our beach patrols and the red and yellow flags do take preference.
  • The earlier you can submit your request for our team, the more likely we will be able to make it happen for you.
